We invest exclusively at the Seed stage, with initial check sizes of $1M to $5M. We do not typically invest at pre-seed or growth stages, though we reserve pro-rata capital for our best-performing Seed investments into subsequent rounds.
We are sector-agnostic but have concentrated expertise in enterprise software, AI/ML infrastructure, fintech, healthcare technology, climate technology, and cybersecurity. We follow exceptional teams more than sector trends.
Yes. While we are headquartered in Palo Alto, roughly 40% of our portfolio companies are headquartered outside the United States. We have invested in 16 countries and have dedicated operating partners in Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
We aim to provide an initial pass or proceed within 2 weeks of first meeting. Full investment committee decisions for investments we are leading typically take 3 to 4 weeks from first meeting to term sheet.
Yes, we lead or co-lead the majority of our Seed investments. We take board seats on led investments and observer seats on co-investments. We prefer to be highly engaged partners, not passive check writers.
We provide active board-level engagement, warm introductions to co-investors and strategic partners, hiring support through our talent network, and access to our operating partner team for functional challenges. We do not parachute in — we are present throughout.
